"Design Optimization for Loader Steel Wheel" is the item of the research center of sustainable manufacturing of Shandong University and Shandong Engineering Machine Steel Wheel Factory to cooperate to unite item, getting engineering machine steel turn in Shandong factory to support strongly.This paper mainly researches and develops the parameters design software of the loader steel wheel by the computer CAD/CAE/CAM technology, so it provides the necessary date for the optimization design of the steel wheel through finite element analysis of the product model.Firstly, This paper builds the 3D model of the loader steel wheel by used Solid Edge software, and studies the parametric design of the steel wheel used VB language based on data-base technique of Solid Edge, and discusses several methods of the assemble parametric design and carries out the relevant software. This software uses VB as the reused tool to transfer the modeling instructions of Solid Edge, and works-out its structure parameters by input the main parameters of the steel wheel, then carries out functions its automatism modeling. The interface of the software is concision and easy to use, and can carry out the functions of the product management, parametric design and finite element analysis. It can not only do 2D, 3D parametric design, but also can add new components to achieve parametric design. It has the stronger functional scalability. By application this parametric design system, we not only can easily develop a variety of products, enhance their ability in innovation and new product development capabilities, but also greatly lighten the burden of design personnel, reduce duplication of a large number of graphics work, improve the products customized and the speed of the product design, and improve production efficiency. And it provides the favorable tools for the structural optimization of steel wheel. Because of the complex geometry of the wheel, it is difficult to force precise description. And the practice proves that it is the main reason for the fatigue damage that the wheel's stress concentration caused the high stress areas localized. Its fatigue life can be increased by improving structural geometry and using the better materials to it. Therefore, this paper is based on the wheel bending fatigue test of loading and constraint boundary conditions, establishes the finite element model of the wheel to find local high-stress area quickly, for the purpose to create conditions of improving the local geometry, reducing the stress on these areas and improve the fatigue life of the wheel.From the edge of the loader as a whole, this paper analyses the common condition of the state force of the load, including the limits, the sum of the eccentric load limits and turning the eccentric load limits, then it get to the ultimate state force of the steel wheel. This paper is to turn the eccentric load limit for the typical working conditions, a three-dimensional model of the steel wheel, using ABAQUS finite element analysis software, the combination of the model for pre-processing, by finite element simulation testing on the steel wheel for finite element analysis and solving, getting the stress and strain and displacement map of the steel wheel. For optimization of the thickness of steel wheel further to achieve the strength to meet the needs of conservation on the basis of materials, lower costs, it was provided a reliable basis. These methods have been application preliminary on series products of steel wheel plant.
