In order to achieve and control the suspension kinematics and elastic kinematics characteristics of a newly developed a crossover minibus(hereinafter referred to as K&C performance),the suspension K&C performance test method and ADAMS/Car virtual prototype analysis method are applied to study the suspension K&C performance of the standard car and the newly developed car.Firstly,the K&C characteristic parameters of the standard vehicle are tested,and the K&C characteristic target of the newly designed vehicle suspension is put forward.The types,characteristics,K&C characteristics and their influencing factors of domestic cross-border micro-bus suspension are analyzed.Based on the test results of K&C characteristics of standard cars and corresponding enterprise standards,the design objectives of K&C characteristics of the new cross-border micro-bus suspension are put forward,which provides guidance for the subsequent analysis and optimization of suspension.Secondly,according to the general layout of the vehicle and the preliminary design of the chassis,the preliminary suspension scheme and hard point parameters are obtained.Some preliminary suspension parameters are obtained through theoretical calculation,which provides a basis for subsequent modeling and analysis.The suspension model is completed by ADAMS/Car,and the model is prepared for the follow-up simulation analysis.Then,the K&C characteristics of suspension under different working conditions are analyzed.Taking wheel alignment parameters as the optimization objective,using ADAMS/Insight,the parameter with greater sensitivity to wheel front harness is the Z coordinate of the outer point of the control arm.Based on this,the changing range of the Z coordinate of the outer spherical hinge of the control arm is determined and optimized.The coordinate of the hard point of the outer spherical hinge of the control arm is changed from(-9.8,+689.1,-138.2)to(-9.8,+689.1,-134.2),which makes the wheel alignment parameters change under various working conditions.Change range,change rate and change trend meet the design objectives.Finally,the suspension K&C test and simulation analysis of the newly designed prototype vehicle are carried out.The variation range of K&C characteristic parameters of suspension is compared and analyzed.The results show that the K&C test is consistent with the simulation results,which shows that the virtual prototyping model is accurate and feasible.The application of virtual prototyping technology can predict the K&C characteristics of the newly developed vehicle suspension.The gradient and trend of K&C characteristic parameters are consistent,which meets the design objectives,and shows that the K&C characteristics of the newly designed suspension meet the expected objectives.
