The torque converter is one of the most critical components in the automatic transmission system in automobiles and engineering machinery.The manufacturing process for the working impeller has a great influence on its overall performance.Roller riveting is an indispensable process in the flush-type torque converter impellers production.At present,the domestic roller riveting process is still immature,resulting in uneven working impeller quality and reducing the work performance of the hydraulic torque converter.The roller rivet equipment used in the enterprise is mostly imported.The maintenance cost is high,and the equipment replacement coat for production parameters in the torque converter is high,which seriously increases the production cost for the enterprise.In this thesis,the hydraulic torque converter impeller roller riveting process and key roller riveting equipment are studied.In order to provide reference for roller riveting process optimization and roller riveting equipment design.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Starting from the structure of the hydraulic torque converter itself,its processing procedure is introduced.Based on the analysis of the roller riveting process of the pump wheel,the process of the roller riveting process of the pump wheel and the matters needing attention are mainly studied,and the inspection standards and possible quality problems of the roller riveting process of the pump wheel are summarized.(2)Taking a certain type of hydraulic torque converter as an example,the existing calculation method of rolling pressure is supplemented and improved according to the actual working conditions of riveting process of pump wheel and roll,and the correctness of the calculation method is verified based on ABAQUS.By analyzing the working principle and functional requirements of the roller riveter and the roller riveter,the pump wheel roller riveter is designed.(3)The finite element model of the roll rivet head is established,and the topology of the roll body is optimized by the variable density method.Based on the optimization results,the volume and mass of the roll body are reduced by about 23%.The low-order modes of the roll rivet head are studied,and the results show that the first six natural frequencies of the roll rivet head are between 0 and 22%.Between Hz,the resonance region of the motor is avoided.(4)The roller riveting process of pump wheel is simulated.The feed speed of the roller riveting head is analyzed and optimized according to the characteristics of the roller riveting process and the deformation law of the connecting piece.The results show that the angle between the connecting piece and the inner ring of the pump wheel decreases by 36.4% after the inversion and the gap between the connecting piece and the inner ring of the pump wheel decreases by 36.4% after the processing..7%.Finally,the rolling springback of the connecting piece is simulated by the die-free method.The results show that after three rolling,the gap between the connecting piece and the inner ring of the pump wheel tends to be stable,that is,the holding time of the riveting process of the roller of the pump wheel is 2 seconds.Through the above research,the design of roll riveting head and the optimization of some roll riveting process parameters have been completed,which provides a reference for improving the roll riveting process and designing special equipment.
