At present,our country's hydropower plant excitation mode presents a variety of control mode,manual,semiautomatic and automatic adjustment method.Some of the old plant because there is no technical renovation,still the single-phase analog excitation adjust way of control cabinet,other power plant is used in single phase half controlled bridge simulation regulation.Due to rely on manual adjustment,low efficiency,the overall stability reliability is poor,the benefits of hydroelectric power station have also been affected.Semi-automatic adjusting excitation controller is based on MCU,can adjust the distance and control,but due to the early transformation,no access and provide communication,and other functions,is very difficult to meet the need of modern automatic adjustment.And PLC control of the excitation device due to reasons such as cost,is replaced by a new microcomputer processor.In this paper,based on the development direction of domestic excitation,a DSP microcomputer excitation device is developed.First introduced the development present situation and development of small and medium-sized hydropower plant in our country,and the action of the excitation system in the hydroelectric power station excitation control method of classification and description are analyzed.At the same time,from the early evolution of excitation system and governor to the current process of excitation system and governor.Then explained the principle of excitation system,mainly describes the shunt excitation principle,characteristics,performance;Briefly explained the static characteristic of excitation system,the transient response performance and with reference to national and industry standards system.Analyzes the excitation control model,and expounds the excitation transfer function,control mode and strategy.Presents a discrete PID control formula,this paper introduces the simplified incremental PID adjusting method.And then designed the TMS320F2812 as microcomputer CPU controller of excitation system,based on the DSP platform of microcomputer excitation system are introduced in detail the switch input and output,analog input,ac measurement unit,pulse unit,communication unit and other hardware system design,and then the software system of excitation device processes such as the excitation process control,human-machine interface process,ac sampling,control cell,pulse triggering process,the communication process of design is introduced.Finally,in the small simulation platform to do the related test,verify that the system design.
