The use of fossil energy has increased people's living standards and the speed of economic development, but it has also increased the global greenhouse effect.According to relevant research, greenhouse gases emitted by human urban development account for 70%of global greenhouse gas emissions, which have a serious impact on global climate change. The state has introduced a series of regulations and policies, management regulations and industry standards to promote energy conservation and emission reduction in cities, and has carried out pilot projects on ecological low-carbon cities across the country to promote low-carbon city concepts and technologies. The global research on the construction of eco-low-carbon cities covers many aspects from the urban area to the building unit. However, there is still a lack of in-depth study on the carbon emission impact factors at the block level, and many professional issues also have major academic controversies. This paper is mainly aimed at the cold area, researching the influence of block form on heating energy consumption, and then putting forward relevant factors related to the shape design of ecological low-carbon block, providing theoretical support and technical reference for promoting the construction of ecological low-carbon city.In order to improve urban energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, this paper sets a region with cold regions as the climate, and conducts research on the carbon emissions and block patterns in the block.Based on data collection and investigation, combined with the relevant knowledge of urban climatology and morphology, through the measurement of building energy consumption and comparative expression, the morphological characteristics and design points of low-carbon blocks were obtained.Through the correlation between the block form indicators and the composition of carbon emissions, the interaction mechanism between block form and carbon emissions was discovered. Finally, through the investigation of the typical block form in Beijing, the simplified model was extracted, and then the software Tsinghua DEST,which is consistent with the research purpose, was selected and the software boundary conditions were set according to the norms and experience. The control variable method was used to simulate the relationship between block form and carbon emissions.Through this study,it is found that body shape coefficient, building density, building layout and building orientation have a great influence on energy consumption and carbon emissions in cold regions in the north.Among several indicators, the influence of body shape coefficient and building density on carbon emissions per unit area is more obvious. The building orientation has a certain impact on the carbon emissions per unit area of the building, but the impact is lower than the former two.It is hoped that qualitative and quantitative research on the relationship between block form and carbon emissions will make a small contribution to improving urban energy consumption and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the perspective of planning and architectural design.
