Research On Low Cost Carriers Operation Mode And Efficiency Evaluation

With the rapid development of low-cost carriers in air transportation,strict cost control is of great significance for its sustainable development.On the basis of cost control,this paper explores and proposes a suitable operation mode for low-cost carriers in China.On summarizing the indicators,the problem of low-cost carriers operation efficiency has been studied,and some pertinent suggestions for the development of low-cost carriers in China are put forward.Firstly,this paper analyzes the development characteristics of low-cost carriers and the necessity of operating in China.he operating characteristics of low-cost carriers and the existing operating models provide the basis for the proposed low-cost carriers operation model in China.The SWOT model is used to analyze the internal and external environment faced by low-cost carriers in China,and four different development strategies have been attempted.Secondly,the cost structure and characteristics are analyzed,the cost indicators that need to be analyzed and calculated are summarized.Cost-related data were collected and grey relational analysis model was improved.In this paper,four samples of low-cost airlines are studied,and seven cost indicators are obtained to rank the correlation degree of net profit,the operation mode suitable for the development of low-cost carriers in China is put forward.Next,from the perspective of input and output,data on the operation of eight low-cost carriers worldwide were collected,using various DEA models,the efficiency of different aspects is evaluated.According to the evaluation results,targeted improvement methods and strategies are reached,and suggestions for further improvement and optimization are put forward.At the same time,the improved DEA model is used to distinguish multiple effective decision-making units.Finally,the case of Spring Airlines is selected to illustrate the research results from the selection of operation mode and efficiency issues.This study provides reference for low-cost carriers in China to innovate operation mode,improve efficiency and improve management methods.
