As an effective measure to give priority to the development of public transportation,bus lanes have been adopted by various cities.However,as there is no unified standard for the planning,setting and operation management of bus lanes in China,problems such as unreasonable design and incompatible organizational measures are exposed in the process of operation,which directly affect the implementation effect of bus lanes.As a common form of bus lane,when the road-side bus lane adopts the right-turn using bus way mode at the right-turn exit,due to problems such as unreasonable traffic planning and organization,the traffic flow disorder of the weaving area,and right-turning vehicles occupy the bus lane prematurely.Therefore,this paper studies the weaving area length of the right-turn exit of the road-side bus lane,aiming to ensure the priority of bus,regulate the traffic of right-turn vehicles and improve the traffic efficiency of intersection.This paper takes the right-turn exit as the research object and the setting of weaving area length as the research target.Firstly,based on the analysis of the characteristics of the road-side bus land,summarized and expounded the layout type and layout method of the right-turn using bus way.Based on the analysis of the running characteristics of vehicles in the weaving area are analyzed,which proposed that the key to the operation of vehicles in the weaving area is the lane-changing behavior of right-turning vehicles.By defining and analyzing the lane changing behavior of right-turning vehicles,reveals that the lane changing behavior of right-turning vehicles microscopically manifests as the demand for the interchangeable gap of bus flow.According to the different right turn traffic flow,the study on the conflict characteristics of the weaving area found that the greater the right turn traffic flow become,the more serious the conflict is.Secondly,through the analysis of the running characteristics of the bus vehicles under the road-side bus land,it is proposed that the bus headway distribution in front of the weaving area of right-turn exit is affected by the bus stop location.Based on this,the research objects are divided into two categories.And the measured time headway data of the upstream bus in the weaving area are collected,use SPSS tool to process the data.By analyzing the probability density curve of the measured data,negative exponential distribution,shifted negative exponential distribution and Erlang distribution were selected for nonlinear fitting and chi-square test,from the perspective of qualitative and quantitative analysis,the time headway of the type I right-turn exit follows the negative exponential distribution,and the time headway of the type ? right-turn exit follows the shifted negative exponential distribution.Finally,based on the analysis of the conflict between right-turn vehicle lane change and bus flow in the weaving area,the idea of modeling based on gap acceptance theory is proposed.Based on the calculation model of secondary road capacity,the calculation model of weaving length is established by combining the relationship between the number of extra passing vehicles after extending the weaving area and the length of weaving area.Assuming that the weaving area length limits are 3.5m,50 m and 100 m,MATLAB was used to draw the relationship diagram between length of weaving area,right-turn traffic flow and bus flow,through calculation and analysis,points out that weaving length is more sensitive to the bus flow of type ? right-turn exit.The model was verified by using the theoretical alternative investigation method,that the average length of weaving area error and the average right turn traffic flow error of the two types of right turning exits were both less than 10%,indicating that the model presented in this paper can well reflect the traffic flow characteristics of the right-turn exit under the condition of smooth traffic flow.And then aiming at the existing traffic problems of right-turn exit,the corresponding improvement measures are put forward from the aspects of optimal design of weaving area,surrounding traffic organization and traffic management of the bus land.
