With the development of science and technology,the important field in China's energy strategy,the power grid,is increasingly moving toward automation.In the construction of power grid automation system,substation plays a key role,but the automation level of substations in China is generally low.To this end,the automation system design and transformation of the Gaoshui substation in Mianyang City was carried out,and the comprehensive system design,online system design,protection system design and system optimization design of the substation were carried out.details as follows:Firstly,on the basis of examining the scale of the Gaoshui substation,the requirements and structural characteristics of the station's automation are analyzed in detail,and the appropriate automation system structure is designed.Secondly,the overall design of the substation is designed.Based on this,the station end system and the online monitoring system are designed in detail,which provides a complete online system function for the whole substation and completes the integrated online system design of the substation.Again,the design of the substation protection system was carried out.According to the different voltage levels,the corresponding protection methods and different devices are adopted.According to the characteristics of the intelligent substation,the configuration scheme of the protection and control device,fault recording and network analysis integration is determined.Finally,the automation system was optimized.Based on the analysis of the conventional substation group screen mode,the integration of the secondary device group screen optimization is carried out by replacing the function-oriented group screen mode with the interval-oriented group screen mode,which greatly reduces the number of group screens.When the system has a software or hardware failure,the standby device can automatically switch to meet the unattended requirements.
