Explore The City Park Design Based On Theory Of Child Friendly Parks

City Park is a significant place for children to perceive nature and via playing;however,nowadays,the lack of attention and research for children-friendly city parks exists generally in China,and the design of city parks mainly relies on the demand of adult,especially elder citizens,neglecting the preference and demand of children,which further result in the vapidity of outdoor playing environment for children and potential safety hazard of city parks with originally rare in quantity.Therefore,it is obviously essential to design children-friendly Urban Comprehensive Parks for the sake of children.This paper mainly focuses on generalizing the principles and approaches of designing child-friendly parks,based on the thorough study of children’s physiological and psychological features to make sure the essence of children-friendly parks,and the combination of considerably many and good related cases.Also,this paper supplements the current Code for the design of public parks,which truly put the theory of designing child-friendly parks into the concept,subregion,characteristic,facilities and index etc.As the typical example of the Schematic design of Yinluchi Park in Fengtai district,Beijing,the paper come up with seven principles for designing child-friendly parks:designing outdoors space all over the parks,dividing space by age,convenience,safety,naturality,entertainment,and friendliness on parenting family.On the basis of these principles and themes,the paper demonstrates the design of facilities according to the compatibility and compromise between adults and children,so as to create a wildly well-beloved Urban Comprehensive Parks with safety insurance,providing valuable and practical project experience for the construction of child-friendly city parks.
