Landscape Reconstruction And Design For Lanzhou West Joy Paradise In The Concept Of Child-friendly

With the improvement of the urbanization level in our country,the contradiction between the urban environment and children’s growing environment is highlighted,the urban children’s rights are paid unprecedented attention.In 2021,in order to deal with the aging population structure,the Chinese government issued the three-child policy to encourage birth,and to protect the rights and interests of the new population,China issued the Plan for Building 100 Child-Friendly Cities in 2025 and the Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Construction of Child-Friendly Cities,which put forward higher requirements for the construction of urban green space.However,at present,the urban green space system in our country is not well constructed,and the children are facing the dilemma that their play space is sharply reduced and they cannot play safely.Therefore,the physiological and mental health of children are being affected negatively.Based on the above background,this paper takes the child-friendly concept as the guideline,takes Lanzhou West Joy Park as the research object,and conducts a systematic exploration on the child-friendly transformation of the West Joy Park,exploring its optimization ideas and transformation strategies.Through theoretical research,this paper analyzes the internal relationship between child-friendly concept and urban theme parks from multiple perspectives.In terms of theoretical research,through the analysis of the background of The Times,the theoretical research basis of urban theme park adaptation transformation based on the relationship between children and urban green space is clarified.Through the analysis and summary of domestic and foreign experience in the practice and exploration of child-friendly environment,the purpose and significance of child-friendly transformation of urban theme parks are clarified.On this basis,through combing and summarizing relevant theories of child-friendly concept,further promoting the research perspective,exploring the key points of child-friendly transformation of urban theme parks from the aspects of functionality,safety,fun and age-appropriateness.Through systematic investigation,data analysis,field observation and questionnaire,this paper defines the outdoor activity preferences and temporal and spatial characteristics of children in the West Happy Garden,summarizes the overall space and children’s play space of the West Happy Garden,and summarizes the survey results to get the design elements of the West Happy Garden landscape transformation.Based on the landscape reconstruction design elements,this paper puts forward the design principles and strategies for the child-friendly transformation of the West Joy Garden,and explores the design practice of the park in terms of its functionality,safety,interest and age-appropriateness,so as to create a children’s play space in line with the physiological and psychological development characteristics of children.At the same time,taking into account the needs of various groups in the city,creating an urban theme park that is popular with the public based on the adaptation transformation,and providing valuable program design process and results for the construction of urban theme parks under the child-friendly concept.
