With the comprehensive development of “Urban Renovation and Ecological Restoration”,the city has gradually changed to intensive development mode. The renovation and transformation of old urban areas has become the focus of urban function improvement and landscape improvement, and has also attracted great attention of the public.Among them,as an important carrier of urban landscape, many Ring Parks around the old city are not only the characteristic business card of the city image, but also closely related to the life of the citizens. Its optimization and upgrading will be a crucial step in the renewal of the old city.Under the background of the continuous improvement of public life quality, how to better understand the needs of park users and the actual use of the situation has become a key issue. This paper chooses Hefei City Ring Park as the research object, and puts forward the Post Occupancy Evaluation based on spatial behavior characteristics and environmental psychological perception through the construction of POE model, and summarizes comprehensive Post Occupancy Evaluation of the Ring Park and the renewal and the renewal and optimization strategy with practical significance.Starting from the spatial characteristics, this study combines qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis to study users' spatial behavior and environmental psychology.Firstly,by extracting the influencing factors of the spatial characteristics of the Ring Park, the types of landscape space are completed.Six types of space are summarized: Paving Node space,Under-tree Activity space,Square Interaction space,Grassland Activity space,Waterfront Recreation space and Water Construction space.Secondly, according to the results of behavior observation, the spatial behavior characteristics of the Ring Park are analyzed from the aspects of users' behavior characteristics, the overall space use characteristics and the use characteristics of the Landscape Space, and it concludes that spatial behavior is easy to solidify, aggregation effect is strong, richness is low and so on.Based on these conclusions, the Post Occupancy Evaluation based on spatial behavior characteristics is carried out.Furthermore, this study constructs a set of factors to evaluate the satisfaction degree of the Ring Park.Through the satisfaction questionnaire survey, the satisfaction evaluation of the whole park and scenic spots is analyzed. The conclusion is that the satisfaction evaluation grade is "general",the Cultural Management factor and Artificial Landscape factor have high significance with overall satisfaction, and the satisfaction of the surrounding residents and middle-aged and old-aged users is low. Therefore, the Post Occupancy Evaluation based on users' environmental psychological perception is developed. Finally, the paper summarizes the analysis and evaluation, and draws a conclusion that there are some problems in Hefei City Ring Park, such as single aging of user behavior, uneven intensity of user space, lack of connection and contradiction between the usage status of scenic spots and the actual needs, and puts forward the renewal strategy of blending user and Landscape Space from the perspective of upgrading and optimizing the space's pleasure and location.By synthetically comparing the analysis results of spatial behavior characteristics and environmental psychological perception, the researcher concluded that user behavior psychological perception and landscape space are interrelated, which confirms the rationality and feasibility of the POE model, and also forms a set of public participation evaluation model based on user characteristics.Relevant research results can provide certain reference value for how to feedback and optimize the use of urban parks.
