Tamping is one of the main forms of ballast track maintenance,which can effectively improve the smoothness of the track and ensure the train running safely and smoothly.In recent years,with the develop of heavy-haul railway and high-speed railway,the stability and smoothness of the line was needed.The maintenance department also put forward new demand in the tamping decision-making.There are differences in the maintenance effect of different tamping modes depending on generous tamping experience.Maintenance departments need to quantify and compare the differences in the tamping modes to make a better choice.On the other hand,with the increase of maintenance workload,tamping needs a lot of manpower and material input,whose cost can not be ignored.The determination of tamping time should not only ensure track quality,but also reduce maintenance cost as much as possible.To solve the above problems,this paper summarizes the research status domestic and abroad.Combining with the actual situation of tamping maintenance,track irregularity dynamic inspection data and the historical maintenance data,the following aspects are studied:(1)The track irregularity dynamic inspection data and maintenance information of several ballast lines are sorted out.By analyzing the sensitivity of track geometric irregularity to tamping,and using the method of line quality score,the line quality index of tamping is raised.(2)Linear line-quality recovery models of tamping are established by analyzing the effect and regularity of tamping for different modes,such as different tamping vehicle types,single tamping or double tamping,measuring methods and stabilizing vehicle usage.(3)A decision model of the optimal tamping time based on the balance between the line quality and tamping cost is proposed.The optimal equilibrium points of line quality and maintenance cost of different modes are solved by the line-quality recovery models of tamping and the linear prediction method of tamping period,which is the best tamping time to balance the line quality and maintenance cost.(4)The Ballast track Maintenance Analysis System is developed based on the above research.The system integrates maintenance data and inspection data comprehensively,and it realizes the analysis of tamping maintenance effect and the calculation of the optimal tamping time decision model with computer aided,so as to provide maintenance decision-making suggestions for users.
