Empirical Analysis On The Influencing Factors Of Energy Consumption Of Chinese Residents

Energy has always played an indispensable role in the development of human society.With the rapid development of modern economy,energy is becoming a crucial issue.China is the largest developing country in the world and the second largest energy consumption country in the world.It has a serious problem in energy consumption and environmental sustainability.Expect to use this article,therefore,a new measurement method studies the energy consumption of residents in our country life,analyzing the effects of different factors on the energy,is expected to energy policy formulation has a guiding significance to our country.Based on the research of domestic and foreign literatures and related literatures,this paper analyzes the consumption status of domestic energy consumption in China from the national level and the provincial level.Respectively based on the time series data,the selection of coal,oil,gas and electricity is as explained variable indicators,per capita consumption expenditure(PCE)as explained variable measure,respectively,to create a single energy and comprehensive energy consumption index of Markov Regime Switching Vector Error Correction Model(MS-VECM)of residents live empirical research on the influence factors of energy consumption;Based on provincial panel data,selection of coal,oil,gas and electricity is as explained variable measure,energy consumption intensity and population density as explained variable measure,in addition to the above three factors,the price of energy is also an important factor,but the energy consumption by the government to control prices,marketization degree is not high,so give up the study of energy price,at the same time to choose resident consumption expenditure(PCE)is a transition variable,respectively establishing single factor and multiple factors panel smooth transfer model(PSTR)the influence factors of energy consumption of residents for empirical research.The main conclusions of the thesis are summarized as follows:(1)The energy consumption of residents' lives is affected by the level of economic development,climatic conditions,and geographical distribution of energy,and there are significant differences.Therefore,to achieve balanced energy development,we must promote the implementation of regional coordinated development policies.(2)During the process of studying the single energy consumption indicators,there is an obvious characteristic of the two-region system.The residents' living energy consumption shows obvious symmetry within different district systems,and it shows obvious asymmetry in the total energy consumption.The possibility of a one-way transfer between districts is even greater.(3)Although various energy consumption structure optimization policies have been adopted,coal consumption is still in a highly institutional state,oil,natural gas,and electricity are in a low-system state,and vigorously promoting the transformation and upgrading of energy is crucial to solve the energy problem.
