As a special palace building closely related to the political life of the whole dynasty,the temporary imperial palace has reached a peak in the scale and quantity of construction during the Sui and Tang Dynasty,Huaqing Palace has became an important example of the ancient temporary imperial palace.The site of the temporary imperial palace was depended on the needs of the function,palace's site has strict requirements on natural resources and location,and it will shows some certain characteristics,take two capitals as the center,and connected with the road,like a dumbbell.The construction of the temporary imperial palace was focused on the time from the end of the Sui Dynasty to the beginning of the Tang Dynasty.The layout of palace have the following features,adopt to terrain,salient idea of imperial authority,religious elements and multifunctional zone planning.In order to ensured that the emperor can deal the cases of the government as usual in the temporary imperial palace,there are clear rules governed the officials go with emperor and the local officials.The temporary imperial palace had some special attributes,like far away from capital,traffic and communication was difficult,so it was more easier be a palace rebellion when emperor was in the temporary imperial palace,if the emperor was dead in rebellion,this was bound to have a significant impact on dynasty situation.The way to build a palace was reflected the concept of ruling and the ethos of court,peaceful or tyrannical,thrifty or extravagant,these were closely related to political trend of Sui and Tang Dynasty.Temporary Imperial Palaces in Sui and Tang Dynasties inherited the outstanding features from the Qin and Han Dynasty to Weijin and the Northern&Southern Dynasty,also created some new features,it has profound influence on later generation.
