Risk management is an important part of the project management system. Therefore, the risk management research of EPC general contracting projects of overseas power station projects is equally important for the theoretical guidance and engineering practice of the project. Then, how to integrate risk management into daily project management activities, how to better manage project risks, and how to learn from project risk management and obtain rapid learning and growth is a major issue for domestic power station engineering companies. The subject is also an urgent problem to be solved. This paper takes the EPC general contracting project of Brazil CT coal-fired power station project as the research object, and studies the risk management of the project. The project is a general contractor of Chinese companies and a government project of the Brazilian state. The scale of the project is moderate, and it has a certain typicality in analyzing and researching the risk management research of Chinese enterprises undertaking overseas projects.According to the specific analysis method of specific problems, this paper starts with four aspects of risk identification, risk index system, risk assessment and risk control. The WBS-RBS risk identification method is used to analyze and identify the risk factors of the project, and the fuzzy level comprehensive analysis method is applied. The project risk is evaluated and the risk weight value of each risk factor is calculated. Therefore, the possibility of each risk factor and the degree of influence on the target level of the project decision are obtained, and the project risk level is finally obtained. Finally, the high-weight risk factors and risk control measures for the EPC general contracting project of the Brazilian CT coal-fired power station project are analyzed in detail.
