| In traditional research, most of the public perception is analyzed as a variable of the research object, but the public perception itself is insufficiently concerned.Based on the public’s perception of urban traffic problems, this paper explores the factors influencing residents’views and choices,so as to improve the utilization rate of residents’survey data and draw more targeted conclusions. There are many research results of public perception, including climate change, public management, improvement of tourist attractions, government policy research and many other fields. However, few documents mention the case of applying public perception in the transportation field.Based on the above research gaps, which are different from the research directions and research methods of previous papers, this study takes the residents’attributes and views of urban traffic problems as the research object, and finally determines four common traffic problems,as well as seven main influence factors. Those provide a new way for the city’s decision makers to make traffic development.Based on the consideration of survey data and variable types, this study uses cross-column table analysis and regression analysis, specific for two-dimensional contingency table analysis, the multiple logit model regression analysis(Multinomial Logit)and nested Logit model regression analysis(Nested Logit)analyzes the differences in residents’ perceptions of urban transport issues. The model evaluation index values, such as parameter estimation values and log likelihood values of the model are obtained through R language, and the saliency and goodness of fit of different models are evaluated, and the group with the best estimation results is selected for detailed analysis. The results show that the trend of parameter estimation results of Multinomial Logit model(MNL model)and Nested Logit model(NL model)are basically identical. It is believed that the problems to be solved urgently in road traffic are poor facilities, poor accessibility and easily blocked nodes;the problem to be solved in public transportation is the poor environment inside the bus;the problem that needs to be solved in urban parking are unreasonable charges and long distance from the parking lot;the problem to be solved in slow traffic are discontinuity and poor safety.Among them, the public’s perception of the existing problems of road traffic is the most dispersed. It can be considered that the existing problems in road traffic are more important, and needs to be focused on and solved in the next step. |
