Research On The Development Of Thilawa Port Logistics In Myanmar

In the context of economic globalization,economic and trade exchanges between countries and regions are becoming increasingly close.As a transportation center for shipping,roads,railways and shipping,ports play an increasingly important role in the world trade.They can promote the economy of the surrounding hinterland;and as the demand changes,the function and role of the ports gradually change.The modern port logistics has gradually evolved from a single transport to a business service,processing and packaging,and efficient information.Integrating the integrated logistics service system and promoting the development of port logistics plays an extremely important role in promoting the regional economy.Thilawa port is the largest deep-water port in Myanmar having,an important role for Myanmar port transportation.It is of great significance to promote the transportation and service capacity of Thilawa port and to build a modern port logistics system to promote the development of Thilawa.Based on this,this paper takes Thilawa port logistics as the research background,and combines domestic and foreign scholars'research results on port logistics,fully analyzes the development status of port logistics and the current development model of world's advanced port logistics;and based on supply chain theory,port and hinterland theory,analyzes the problems faced by the current development of Thilawa port.Secondly,based on SWOT analysis and SWOT combination matrix analysis method,explores the advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and challenges of Thilawa port;Finally,based on the existing problems,the relevant proposals for the future development of the port of Thilawa are proposed,which provides a reference for the development of the port of Thilawa and the economic development of the surrounding areas.
