The discharge of large amounts of pollutant in winter heating period is one of the main causes of severe haze, which has caused great trouble for people's production and life.In order to improve the air pollution caused by coal combustion and the air quality, the country began to implement the “Coal to Electricity” project. One of them is to prohibit residents from burning coal for heating, and convert to use electric heating boilers, air source heat pumps and other electric heating equipments. However, there are a series of problems in the implementation of this projects, such as the electric heating equipment lead to high heating cost for users, and the promotion of electric heating equipment mainly depends on government subsidies. In order to solve the above problems, accelerate the transformation of China's energy system to a clean and low-carbon model, and improve the utilization rate of renewable energy in China, this paper proposed to use the photovoltaic power generation to optimize the current heating method in rural areas.Firstly, this paper combed the current status of energy consumption in rural areas, the status quo of winter heating and coal treatment, the status quo of distributed photovoltaic development, and the research status of coal-to-electricity work and photovoltaic power generation at home and abroad, and introduced the working principle of electric heating system and photovoltaic power generation system and the related theories of economic and environmental benefit analysis.Secondly,in view of the problems existing in electric heating mode(heat storage electric boiler, air source heat pump),this paper proposed a method of optimizing existing electric heating system by using distributed photovoltaic and introduced the optimization principle of this method and simulation design flow of the distributed photovoltaic system.Thirdly, combining with the relevant theoretical knowledge, this paper put forward the economic and environmental benefit analysis method of "photovoltaic +electric heating" mode, and chose the suitable indicator to evaluate the economic and environmental benefits of this mode. Finally, the article took two rural households as an example, used the PVsyst software to simulate the design of the photovoltaic system in the case, and calculated theeconomic and environmental benefits of the heating method, and analyzed the sensitivity of the uncertain factors affecting the economy. The "photovoltaic + electric heating" method has good economic and environmental benefits. The national subsidies for distributed photovoltaic projects and the installed cost of photovoltaic systems have significant effects on the economic benefits of optimized heating methods.Without the state subsidy for distributed photovoltaic system, reducing the installed price of photovoltaic system can increase the economic benefit of the system to a certain extent, but it can not guarantee that the user can recover the investment cost.Based on the above research results, this paper believed that although the optimized heating and investment method has a long payback period under the condition of the state's distributed PV subsidy policy. However, from the comprehensive analysis of economic and environmental benefits, this method is still worth promoting. In order to better promote the development of clean energy and distributed renewable energy in rural areas, this paper also put forward relevant suggestions from various aspects such as government subsidies and market mechanisms.
