The mould design of profile sinking forming is an important aspect of profile forming.Profile parts are widely used in modern aeronautical manufacturing industry.It has been difficult to satify the large-scale and rapid production of modern enterprises by using traditional mould design means to manufacture profile parts.The current methods of CAD profile forming and the rapid mould design method are summarized.Based on the general CATIA software of aeronautical manufacturing industry,a rapid mould design system of profile sinking forming was developed by using secondary development technology.Firstly,the current research and methods of profile sinking forming and the current development of rapid CAD mould design are analyzed,the importance of developing rapid mould design of profile sinking system is also introduced,the basic theory of the finite element method and its application in metal plastic forming are introduced.The finite element analysis software ABAQUS was used to simulate the sinking process of typical profiles.The springback problem is studied by deepened sinking method,and the validity of the finite element method is validated by experiments.Then,the parametric design method of CATIA software and the parametric mould design method of profile sinking are introduced.The parametric mould design of profile sinking in secondary development is also introduced.Finally,a rapid mould design system of profile sinking forming is developed on CATIA platform by using the parametric method,which realizes the convenience and rapidity of parameter modification.
