Water is a precious resource that is essential in our daily life.As the global population growing,water consumption increases significantly.Therefore,considerable research effort has been invested to develop solutions for efficient water supply and distribution to fulfill the kinds of usage.However,there are still a lot of challenges remaining in the real world application,and achieving constant water pressure outputs is one of them.This thesis presents a novel adaptive constant pressure water supply system.It is an embedded system based on Renesas 78K Series microprocessor.The system is designed to adjust the speed of a group of variable frequency pumps through RS485 to achieve the setting outlet pressure,and the target pump speed is derived based on the city council's supply pressure and setting outlet speed.The system will balance the work time of all pumps,and reduce the power consumption when the water usage from the end user is at trough time.All facilities are monitored by a real time diagnostic system.Any suspected failures will be reported simultaneously to the maintenance team to ensure system is stable and reliability.This work provides algorithms those coordinate multiple pumps to achieve constant pressure output and optimize the energy consumption at trough time.The RTOS is designed with Renesas 78K series microprocessor.RS485 is used for the network communication processing,and the software are coded in C by using IAR embedded workbench.The function and performance can fulfill the requirement after test.
