With Mongolia's vigorous development of energy transport which is mainly based on railway freight transport,the freight volume and operating mileage of railway are increasing year by year,and the operating conditions of railway freight vehicles are increasingly harsh.The fatigue failure of freight vehicle bogie is particularly prominent,which has become an important factor restricting the development of railway freight transport.At present,there are few studies on fatigue strength of bolster and side frame of freight vehicle bogie in Mongolia,which has laid hidden dangers for safe operation of freight car.Therefore,it is of great significance to evaluate the static strength and fatigue strength of bolster and side frame according to the existing intermational standards for defining the weak parts of structural strength and guiding structural optimization design.In this paper,the static strength and fatigue strength of bolster and side frame of bogie of Mongolian freight vehicle imported from China and Chinese self-used freight vehicle are analyzed by finite element method in accordance with AAR locomotive service standard of the United States.The specific work in this paper mainly includes the following aspects:(1)The structural characteristics and composition of the two bogies are analyzed.The advantages and disadvantages of the two bogies are compared and analyzed.According to the drawings,the three-dimensional models of the bolsters and the side frames are established by using the three-dimensional modeling software Pro/E.(2)The finite element model of bolster and side frame is established by using the large-scale finite element pre-processing software Hypermesh.After importing the model into the finite element analysis software ANS YS,the load is applied according to the working conditions specified in AAR locomotive service standard and the finite element stress calculation is carried out.The static strength and stiffness of bolster and side frame are compared and analyzed.(3)The loading mode and assessment standard of fatigue test for bolster and side frame stipulated in AAR locomotive service standard are analyzed.According to the test standard,the fatigue strength of bolster and side frame is evaluated and analyzed by finite element method.(4)The free modes of bolster and side frame of Mongolian freight car bogie are calculated,and the vibration characteristics of the structure are analyzed.(5)Referring to AAR locomotive service standard,the load spectrum for bolster and side frame of Mongolian freight car bogie is compiled,and the fatigue life of bolster and side frame is calculated based on finite element stress calculation results.
