Research On Featured Traditional Architecture In Wuyuan Jiangxi

Traditional architectures are the carrier and expression of Chinese culture,of which Wuyuan Jiangxi architecture is taken as the primary object of the research.Reasons can be summarized as follows: Wuyuan was attached to the Huizhou district at an early age,which was under the influence of Confucianism both culturally and aesthetically;Wuyuan features the unique geographic and natural environment characteristics of Jiangxi,as well as its history,religion and culture deposits;Wuyuan is located at the border of Anhui,Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces,this particular location leading to a merged form of architecture with multicultural integration.The research is completed through wide-range literary reviews,on-site investigations,experts' suggestions,peers interaction and the like.The local traditional architecture history status,along with the current development situation are obtained,among which the residential development status accounts for the main object of the study.Besides,related survey upon the surrounding areas is conducted so as to figure out conclusions with creativity and originality.The research is carried out in logical order.Firstly,all the collected data are analyzed to get a rough idea into shape with the historical and cultural development context of Wuyuan.Secondly,Wuyuan's traditional architecture types are summarized and classified,and furthermore the component elements of the local traditional architectural form are analyzed in detail..Finally,the conclusion is drawn from a designer's angle that the traditional architecture construction technique and ideas in Wuyuan have tremendous influence over its contemporary regional architecture,which by turns constitutes its extraordinary advantages of being innovative along the route of inheritance.This research paper classifies Wuyuan's traditional architectural characteristics from both geographical environment and regional culture standpoint,with the supporting information obtained from traditional thoughts,folk culture,living habits,the peculiar physic-geographical environment as well as the traditional architectural functional layout,architectural characteristics,architectural form and culture influenced decoration features,in order to come up with the conclusion as mentioned above,which is hopefully to offer substantial benefits for Wuyuan's existing architectural culture,and to provide some new ideas to be adopted in architectural design and construction.
