With the advent of DT era,the integration of Internet and data has become an irresistible trend.The value of data to design has been widely recognized in the Internet industry,which brings both new opportunities and new requirements for Internet product design.Internet product design is a problem-solving process,which requires designers taking users as the center to analyze problems rationally and provide design solutions to meet user needs,and improving user experience through iterative optimization design.As the objective carrier of information in the real world,data can not only reflect the real users' behavior and attitude,to help in finding problems,having an insight into users' current and potential needs,and finally finding design opportunities,but also bridge the information gap for designers and even decision makers in the design process to avoid the uncertainty of the problem itself and design solutions.Thus,data and Internet product design are naturally corresponding.This paper will explore the contact point and application content of data based on the process of Internet product design,aiming to provide a systematic data application strategy for designers to assist the whole process of Internet product design,and enhance the rationalization and value of design.Firstly,this paper makes an in-depth study on the related theories about Internet product design process and data at home and abroad.It initially defines the Internet product design process as a cyclic process with four stages,that is,information,scheme,decision-making and evaluation,and analyses the design content of each stage.At the same time,it summarizes the data application cycle,source and role in the design process of Internet product.On this basis,the paper studies and analyses the contact points of data in the design process of Internet product,and puts forward application content of data in each stage of design process,that is,data description in the information stage,data link in the scheme stage,data persuasion in the decision-making stage and data measurement in the evaluation stage.By surveying the designer with Internet product design experience using both quantitative methods and qualitative methods,it verifies and amends the contact points and application content of data in the design process as well as understands the difficulties and requirements that the designer meets in the design process of Internet product deeply.And the card sorting is used to analyze and sort out the data needs of designers in the four stages of information,scheme,decision-making and evaluation.Then the direction of data application strategies is determined.Finally,this paper outputs data application strategies in the design process of Internet product,that is,data description strategies to judge the direction of design in the information stage,data link strategies to create co-creation mode in the scheme stage,data persuasion strategies to transmit design value in the decision-making stage and data measurement strategies to improve the quality of user experience in the evaluation stage.This paper studies data application by dividing the design process of Internet product into stages,expands and extends the relevant theories of Internet product design and data application effectively.
