The portal crane is China's earliest and most widely used port handling equipment.The luffing system is the most important part of the portal crane,it has a direct impact on the whole machine.In this paper,the luffing system of the gantry crane is used as the research object,through the optimization of the luffing system,the overall performance of the crane is improved,the price of the crane can be reduced,so as to improve the competitiveness of the enterprise.The main problem currently in the design process is:In the process of finding the optimal solution,the traditional algorithm has great limitations,so it is necessary to use modern intelligent algorithm to solve the problem;How to establish an appropriate mathematical model,and according to the experience of selecting the appropriate design variables and constraints,making the process faster and better.This paper uses the genetic algorithm to solve the problem and find out the optimal solution.In order to allow the designer to use this method easily,we combine the visible interface in VS and the numeri analysis ability in Matlab by using VS2010 call Matlab procedures.Finally,by comparing with the actual case,to verify the feasibility of this method,and can obtain considerable economic effect.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.Analyse the characteristics of portal crane luffing system,establish the portal crane balance system and arm frame system mathematical model,respectively.2.According to the characteristics of genetic algorithm,establish the optimization model based on genetic algorithm of the balance system and arm frame system,then use Matlab to write related optimization procedure.3.By using VB2010,developed out of seat design optimization software system of crane,through the interface visualization,make the users to use this method easily.4.Finally,compared with the existing projects,show the advantages.
