The assembly and disassembly experiment of motorcycle engine can increase the operators' perceptual understanding of common mechanism and general parts,and enable the operators to master the working principle,structural features and motion characteristics of various mechanisms and parts.This experiment can also help the operators to understand the process and method of assembly and disassembly of these mechanisms and parts in motorcycle engine.Due to the limitation of equipment,site and teaching conditions,the assembly and disassembly experiment of motorcycle engine has not been given full play.Therefore,in this paper,the key technologies of virtual assembly and virtual simulation are studied,and the virtual simulation experiment system of motorcycle engine assembly and disassembly is developed.This system can not only simulate the assembly and disassembly process of motorcycle engine,but also perform interactive assembly and disassembly operations.It also provides the possibility for the popularization of virtual assembly and disassembly experiment of motorcycle engine.This paper mainly completed the following research work:This paper firstly analyzed the functional requirements of the motorcycle engine virtual assembly and disassembly system,and on this basis,established the architecture of the software system,determined the workflow of the system and the technical scheme of part modeling.Then this paper established the underlying database of the system with SQL Server,and realized the access and operation of the database with ADO object.The hierarchical structure of the virtual assembly model of motorcycle engine is established in this paper.A model conversion interface is developed to realize the model information transformation from CAD system to motorcycle engine virtual assembly and disassembly system.This paper established the virtual scene of the software system,established the hierarchical scene diagram in the scene,used the scene diagram to guide the simulation engine to render the scene.The tool model library and standard part model library of the software system are established,and the management of tool model and standard part model is realized.In this paper,the assembly sequence of motorcycle engine is obtained by the method of hierarchical planning,and the feasible assembly path is planned by interpolation of intermediate points.The motion guidance and precise positioning of motorcycle engine parts are realized by means of assembly motion navigation and precise positioning method based on assembly constraint.The difficulty of motorcycle engine assembly and disassembly simulation is the use of disassembly and assembly tools.This paper focused on the realization method of virtual assembly and disassembly simulation of motorcycle engine considering assembly and disassembly tools,solved the problem of tool positioning and operation,and realized the assembly and disassembly simulation using different tools in virtual environment.On the basis of the above research,this paper developed a virtual simulation experiment system of motorcycle engine assembly and disassembly by using VS and WTK.This system realizes the simulation of virtual assembly and disassembly process.The characteristic of the system designed in this paper is that the assembly and disassembly operations can be divided into two types: single step assembly and disassembly and continuous assembly and disassembly.This system can carry out single step disassembly,single step assembly,continuous disassembly and continuous assembly operation of motorcycle engine.
