For large-scale solar energy plants,the current automatic solar tracking system is still not perfect in terms of cost savings and unified control,therefore,it is of great significance to study a new automatic solar tracking system.Based on the existed solar tracking system of solar panels at domestic and abroad,this paper designs a solar panel automatic tracking system for large-scale solar power plants,firstly,the overall scheme of the system is designed.EtherCAT bus is introduced into the automatic solar tracking system to realize the control of multiple solar panels with one controller;two basic automatic solar tracking methods in the automatic solar tracking system,namely,motion trajectory of solar tracking and photoelectric tracking,were studied in depth,appropriate declination angle and time difference estimation algorithm were selected.besides,the motion trajectory of solar tracking algorithm is coded and the accuracy of algorithm is verified;and the photoelectric sensor used in photoelectric tracking also be verified by experimental;to ensure the flexible conversion of two solar tracking methods,a tracking conversion circuit is designed;software is designed for entire group control solar tracking system,and the human-machine interface is designed to realize human-computer interaction function;the hardware platform of group control solar tracking system is designed,and the accuracy of the servo motor is verified,finally,the comparison experiment of energy generation efficiency is implemented for group control solar tracking system.The experiment result shows that the group control solar tracking system can run stably.in addition,through the actual detection:it is found that the energy generation efficiency of the group control solar tracking systerm has increased more than 30%compared with the fixed installation energy generation device,and the group control of the solar tracking device is realized.
