Research On The Spatial Morphology Of Lianhuanan Historical Cultural District In Foshan

As one of the material carriers of urban history and culture,historic and cultural blocks are important historical "texts" to interpret the city.However,they have been demolished in large numbers in the process of urbanization,and the rest have gradually become "isolated islands" in the decline of the city.Historically,Foshan Ancient Town is one of the "Four Great Aggregates" and "Four Great Towns" with a long and glorious history.Like major cities,many historical and cultural blocks in the urban area are in urgent need of protection and renewal.The protection and renovation of historical and cultural blocks,as well as the collection,collation and analysis of local historical blocks and architectural data,are particularly important.The Lianhuanan historical and cultural block studied in this paper retains the architectural style and street pattern of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.In addition,there are two religious building areas in the block,which contain rich traditional cultural heritage.Because of its unique historical location,it has become an important role of "connecting the preceding with the following" in the central part of Foshan ancient town.The study of its spatial form can not only reveal the traditional spatial characteristics of the region,but also deepen the understanding of the spatial characteristics of the development of Foshan ancient town from the micro level.This paper studies the spatial form of Lianhuanan historical and cultural block from three aspects of city,street and architecture.Through reading and sorting out a large number of historical records,this paper roughly combs out the development and evolution characteristics of Foshan ancient town and summarizes the development of this block,and establishes a macro perspective.From the medium level,the characteristics of the spatial pattern of the block are analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively,and its characteristics,causes and the relationship between each historical factor and the spatial structure of the block are analyzed in combination with the relevant historical materials such as social humanities.Then from the micro-level of architecture,this paper explores the types,combinations,space interface style and art of block architecture,summarizes the characteristics of block architecture space,in order to comprehensively and meticulously grasp the characteristics of the space form ofLianhuanan historical and cultural block,and on this basis,puts forward corresponding protection suggestions for the protection and renovation of local historical and cultural blocks and traditional architectural style.
