| Traffic problems have become increasingly prominent in recent years,especially the problems of traffic congestion,safety and pollution.The development of public transportation is an essential means to solve urban traffic problems.However,the fixed-path bus transit cannot meet passengers because of their low flexibility.Demand is becoming more and more weak in competition with private transportation.More operating costs will be appeared if the service mode of the urban public transport system is reached through the fixed-path bus transit operation mode in urban suburbs or nighttime travel,where the demand density of public transport is low and scattered.Urban residents will increase the use of private transportation a certain extent in order to meet the needs of individual travel if bus routes are not arranged in these areas.Therefore,the development of new Route Deviation System,especially the Route Deviation System,is an effective way to solve the problem of bus service in low-density areas or time zones and have important practical significance to improve the attractiveness of public transportation,alleviate urban traffic congestion,and build low-carbon traffic mode.This paper regards the Route Deviation System as the entry point,and focuses on the related issues of vehicle scheduling and operation mode optimization.Firstly,it summarizes the concept,characteristics and advantages and disadvantages of various public transport systems,and describes the characteristics of the Route Deviation System.Secondly,it analyzes the constraints and objective functions of the Route Deviation System and introduces PSO algorithm,aiming at the optimal sum of passenger travel cost and bus operation cost.A twostage scheduling model is developed of the Route Deviation System based on static reservation demand and dynamic real-time demand.Then,the setting conditions and related parameters of the Route Deviation System layout based on the proposed two-stage scheduling are discussed,and describes the conversion conditions of the two bus modes by the bus service quality model.Finally,the existing fixed-path bus system is simulated and solved by python since the Route Deviation System is in the theoretical stage in China.The results show that there is a big advantage setting the Route Deviation System under the condition of low density travel.In contrast,the advantage of setting the fixed-path bus system is obvious under the condition of high density travel. |
