Rotary dryer is the core component of asphalt mixing equipment,its quality is closely related to the heating temperature,fuel consumption rate,electrical energy consumption and other indicators of the asphalt mixture.Studying the driving power of the rotary dryer is of great significance for improving the stability of the rotary dryer,guiding the design of the rotary dryer and reducing energy consumption.This paper combines the characteristics of the drying cylinder structure,analyzes the movement law of the material inside the drum,and the materials were classified according to the different states of motion;the mathematical model was established,including the residence time of the materials in the drum,the mass of each part of the aggregate,and the maximum holding capacity of the convection zone;the influence of aggregates in different sections on the drive of rotary dryer is obtained.The calculation model of the driving power of the rotary dryer is established by analyzing the force condition of the drying cylinder,compared with the previous formula,it is more in line with the characteristics of the rotary dryer of the asphalt mixing equipment.Combined with the calculation model,the effects of productivity,cylinder length,cylinder diameter,cylinder rotation speed,cylinder installation inclination angle,etc.on the driving power of the drying cylinder were analyzed.According to the theoretical calculation results,the proportion of the power consumed by each part in the total power is analyzed,it is found that the power consumed by the convection zone to maintain the material movement is the highest,and the power consumed by the wheel friction is the smallest.After that,using the rotary dryer used in the 4000 type asphalt mixing equipment provided by a certain manufacturer as the research object,the driving power calculation model was tested and verified,the results show that although the theoretical value is smaller than the measured value,the relative deviation between the experimental value and the theoretical value is always about 10%,and the theoretical value is consistent with the experimental value,taking the correction coefficientk_p=1.115,the theoretical value can be closer to the experimental value.Finally,based on the test prototype,the optimization design theory and MATLAB software are used to optimize the working parameters of the rotary dryer,the optimum value of each parameter of the rotary dryer under the minimum driving power is obtained,which has certain guiding significance for the design of the rotary dryer.
