The aero engine is known as the "heart" of the aircraft.Turbine disk is the core rotating component of the engine,and it is also a key component to improve engine performance.Turbine is composed of turbine disk and blade,which are widely connected by eucalyptus-shaped molar connection because of its light weight,high material utilization and convenient assembly.Eucalyptus-shaped molar is so complicated that it's often manufactured by mortise broach,which is one kind of multi-tooth cutters.The traditional design process of mortise broach is based on the cooperation of structure design department,process design department and tooling department in serial methods.In the cooperation,information is exchanged and transmitted through engineering drawings,which results in heave repetitive workload,long design period and low efficiency.Therefore,it's important to improve efficiency of the broach-design,which has a great significance to shorten the development period of broach and related aviation products.In this paper,a design method based on turbine disk product model in three-dimensional was proposed.Characteristic parameters of turbine disk were obtained by feature recognition algorithm and parameter extraction algorithm.Universal model templates were constructed in UG,in which,“universal” meant that they were adapted to different tooth numbers.Based on parameterized design technology,model templates were driven into broach models with broach design information,which were converted from extracted manufacturing parameter information by parameter association.Based on this method,a rapid design system of the mortise broach was completed,which realized the effective cooperation of structure design department,process design department and tooling department.Therefore,it shortened the design period,and improved the efficiency of designing mortise broach.The research work of this paper mainly includes:(1)Methods of feature recognition and parameter extraction were proposed to obtain manufacturing parameters of turbine disk,through analyzing structure characteristics of eucalyptus-shaped molar.After that,manufacturing parameters were converted into broach design information.(2)The method to build model template of broach was proposed based on parameterized design technology.Driving parameter of the model template were analyzed and classified,the driving parameter expression was constructed,and finally,the library of universal model templates was established.(3)The correlations between manufacturing characteristic parameters of mortise and design parameters of the broach,between main and auxiliary parameters of broach-design,among different model templates were built based on analyzing the theory and process of the driving.Finally,the driving variant of the template was realized through the correlations among parameters,and a rapid design for mortise broach based on the product model was realized.(4)Applying UG NX Open API and Visual C++ development tools,a rapid design system for turbine disk mortise broach based on product model was developed to meet the actual needs of enterprises based on UG NX platform.
