Integral self-lubricating spherical plain bearing has the advantages of simple structure,maintenance free,high bearing capacity,corrosion resistance and high reliability.It is widely used in aerospace,military machinery,truck,railway machinery and other fields.Outer ring forming process is one of the key technologies to manufacture integral selflubricating spherical plain bearing.At present,due to the lack of mature outer ring forming process,domestic bearing has shortcomings such as low spherical forming accuracy,uneven clearance,self-lubricating layer easily damaged,poor product reliability and quality stability,which cannot meet the high-end applications.In this paper,precision forming process of the integral self-lubricating spherical plain bearings is studied.In this paper,a combination method of simulation and experiment is presented.Firstly,the simulation model of three kinds of integral selflubricating spherical plain bearings is established based on DEFORM.The forming process and results are analyzed.Then,the influence of the forming force,speed,lubricating condition,mold angle and magnitude of interference on the results of different forming processes are studied.After that,the main influencing parameters are experimented and the simulation results are validated,and the optimum parameters are obtained.At last,the ball-disk test reveals the influence of surface roughness,contact stress and friction velocity on the surface lubricity of the outer ring material after oxalate treatment.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows.(1)The results of simulation analysis based on DEFORM are in good agreement with the experimental ones.(2)The forming force is the main factor influencing the forming precision of double nosing process and double nosing process.The magnitude of interference is one of the main factors influencing the forming precision of hole-die extrusion process.The optimal parameters are 100 KN,90KN and 1.96 mm.(3)When the surface roughness of the original sample is 0.046?m,the surface lubricity after oxalate treatment is the best.Better lubrication performance can be got when the contact stress does not exceed 1045 MPa.Friction speed has little effect on the lubrication performance.
