This paper focuses on improving the reliability of relay protection system,Firstly,based on the mathematical principle of researching the reliability of relay protection system,the mathematical index of describing the reliability of the system is introduced in detail,the reliability analysis method of relay protection system is combed,the failure rate function and its life distribution of typical components are studied and analyzed,which lays a theoretical foundation for the reliability analysis of relay protection system.Secondly,the basic data analysis of relay protection is an important aspect of relay protection research,and is the basis of quantitative research on protection reliability.In this paper,based on the basic data of relay protection system reliability,the particularity of relay protection reliability is analyzed.Compared with the traditional relay protection index,the reliability index proposed in this paper can be more close to the real relay protection reliability level.However,the result can only be the mean value of relay protection reliability,which can not reflect the reliability level at a specific moment.Reliability characteristic function can solve this problem.Weibull distribution has good compatibility and it can fit all kinds of data wel.In this paper,Weibull distribution model is selected to fit the basic data of relay protection reliability,and finally the reliability characteristic function is obtained.Finally,on the basis of reliability evaluation,combined with the actual maintenance situation of relay protection,a maintenance project optimization method is proposed.Based on reliability and economy,the optimal maintenance period is solved with the objective of minimizing the reliability coefficient of economic cost.
