Study On Spatial Distribution And Protection Countermeasures Of Traditional Villages In Southern Hunan

The southern part of Hunan province has many traditional villages with rich historical and cultural heritages.Spatial distribution is one of the effective ways to analyze geospatial structure,and it can visually understand the distribution characteristics of research objects from a macro perspective.This paper uses Arc GIS 10.5 spatial analysis method and mathematical analysis to analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of 281 ancient villages in the area of southern Hunan,in order to propose innovative protection and development strategies for traditional villages.The article firstly carries out theoretical analysis,including the introduction of research background and significance,a comprehensive and systematic review of the spatial distribution and other major research aspects of traditional villages about the domestic and abroad,as well as a review of the current situation of ancient villages in southern Hunan,then makes clear the current research situation of traditional villages there.Based on this,This paper proposes the research plan,research methods,and framework systems,etc.Secondly,it is the analysis of characterization and quantification,mainly a quantitative study of the spatial distribution characteristics of ancient villages in the area of southern Hunan.the spatial distributiontype of ancient villages in southern Hunan is analyzed by using the nearest neighbor index.The spatial distribution equilibrium is analyzed by using the geographic concentration index and the imbalance index.The spatial distribution pattern is analyzed by kernel density,and the spatial group relationship is analyzed by using the village distribution map.After them,the spatial distribution characteristics of ancient villages under different influencing factors(topography,altitude,slope,water system and road traffic)are analyzed.Finally,it is the aspect of countermeasures research,this paper mainly takes the perspective of “point-line-surface” model as basic,proposing protection and development strategies about the traditional villages in southern Hunan.The main conclusions of the paper include: First,the traditional villages in southern Hunan are clustered and present unbalanced distribution.Second,the spatial distribution pattern of ancient villages in Chenzhou City is that the amount of villages in the midland and westland areas are more than that of eastern region,then forming village groups in several places;the spatial distribution pattern of traditional villages in Yongzhou city is that the majority of villages are located in the northland and the midland,then forming village groups in several places,too.Third,the ancient village space group relationship includes point distribution,linear distribution and cluster distribution.Fourth,traditional villages aremostly distributed in low altitude areas with small slope where they are close to the road.Fifth,put forward the protection strategy of point-line-surface basic model: build growth poles,foster protection axis,and build network-type village structure.
