Researching Of Traditional Villages And Houses Of Southern Hunan Area Basing On The Cultural Geography

Southern Hunan area is located in the south of Hunan,the administrative scope includes Chenzhou,Yongzhou.It's bordered with Jiangxi,Guangdong and Guangxi provinces at the junction of Hunan "South Gate." called "Injection of Three Rivers".Southern Hunan area is the key immigrants channel due to a number of ancient roads connected.Its culture is influenced by Hunan-Jiangxi culture,Hakka culture,Cantonese culture,the Central Plain culture and Minority culture,Under the common influence of its own natural environment,and history evolution,Southern Hunan area presents various shapes and abundant type of traditional village and the residential culture landscape.which has the typical characteristics of the cultural transition zone.This paper is with the combination of cultural geography,architecture,urban and rural planning,using the methods of the interdisciplinary,reading references,scientific instrument assisted measurement,field investigation method,in order to make a horizontal induction of southern Hunan traditional villages and residential culture spatial distribution regularity and differences,Moreover,through longitudinal comparison,to explore its village and residential culture source,cultural factors and evolution mechanism.This article is divided into six chapters,the main contents of each chapter includes:The first chapter explains the background and significance of the study,defines the boundary of the scope,"Southern Hunan area","traditional village","traditional houses" and clarify the research content.Then put forward the research methods and technical routes,Finally,makes a review of domestic and foreign research on traditional village and houses.The second chapter is the basis of this study,which structures the traditional villages and residential cultural geography database of southern Hunan area.First,this chapter make a brief introduction of Southern Hunan area,and then building up the database from four aspects,such as cultural factor determination,database composition,database sample selection and established a database.Chapter three to six corresponds to four main research contents of this article.The first,analysis of Southern Hunan area traditional village and residential culture and geographical characteristics.The second,the cultural divisions of Southern Hunan area traditional villages and houses.The third,analysis of factors affecting the cultural landscape in Southern Hunan area.The last,explore the cultural relations between Southern Hunan area and other culture areas.This paper concluded two main conclusions:First of all,traditional villages and houses in Southern Hunan are appear to a unique geographical and cultural landscape,which maintains the Hunan-Jiangxi culture as the core,and influenced by Cantonese culture,Hakka culture,Central Plain culture and Minority culture,and presents the status of multicultural coexistence.Second,the characteristics of traditional villages and residential cultural landscapes in southern Hunan are formed by two conditions of natural geography and cultural geography factors.
