The Research Of Spatial Distribution And Form Of Traditional Villages And Houses In Eastern Hunan Basing On The Cultural Geography

The Eastern Hunan was located in the east of Hunan province,including Changsha,Zhuzhou and Yueyang city,near to Jiangxi and Hubei province.The Eastern Hunan which belongs to Xiangjiang River Basin also in the west of Luoxiao mountains,the terrain of Eastern Hunan is high in the southeast but low in the northwest,mainly mountains and hills in the central region,the north of Eastern Hunan is Dongting Lake Plain,and on the other side of this river is Hanjiang River Plain.Basically,the Eastern Hunan was mainly influenced by the Hunan,Jiangxi and Hakka culture,with the effects of natural environment,cultural characteristics and historical evolution,the Eastern Hunan formed a diversified and rich types of cultural landscape of traditional villages and residences.This article systematically analyzed the spatial distribution and differences of the traditional villages and residences in Eastern Hunan from two dimensions which is the spatial location and historical time,with the help of the Cultural Geography research and analysis techniques,through the classification,statistical analysis,comparative study of these diverse properties.The main contents of this article is divided into three parts: Firstly,this article selects the cultural factors of the traditional villages and residences in Eastern Hunan.Establishing cultural and geographic information database with the ArcGis and Google Earth as the platform,and draw the cultural geography atlas of the traditional villages and residences in Eastern Hunan,analyzing the cultural geography feature of each cultural factor in the meantime.Secondly,selecting the residence type and village layout as the two dominant cultural factors.With the help of the superposition method and the leading factor method,this article dividing the cultural district of traditional villages and residences in Eastern Hunan into four parts,including the Northwest Yueyang Farmland Residence Cultural District,Southeast Terraced Residence Cultural District,Northeast Tangxiang and Patio Hall Residence Cultural District,Middle Terraced Residence Cultural District.And then pick out the distinctive village as the representatives of those cultural districts to analyze the cultural landscape features one of each,meanwhile,elaborating the main causes of each cultural district.In the end,this article focuses on the impact of the immigration movement,economic and technological,history evolution,languages and humanities ideology on the cultural landscape of traditional villages and residences in Eastern Hunan,also explores the association between Jiangxi Province and Southern Hunan.
