In recent years,China's achievements in economic construction and urbanization have attracted the worldwide attention. In cities, residents' car ownership increases sharply every year, but the planning and construction of surface traffic roads in cities are still lagging behind, leading to the increasingly prominent contradiction between urban traffic demand and supply. In cities, the public transport system has been playing a very important role in alleviating urban traffic congestion, and the urban subway and conventional bus are important parts of the urban public transport system.Urban subway, with its advantages of high transportation efficiency, small environmental pollution, good safety and high on-time rate, has been vigorously built and planned in many Chinese cities. However, the new subway lines will inevitably overlap with the original conventional bus network, and these problems will also affect the transportation efficiency to vary degrees. Therefore, how to solve the problem of integrated and coordinated operation of subway and conventional bus becomes the key to improve the transport efficiency of urban public transport system. There are many factors influencing the collaborative optimization of urban subway and conventional bus. This paper mainly introduces two keys coordinatation of collaboration: site coordinatation and line network coordinatation; This paper starts from the technical and economic characteristics and functional positioning relationship of the operation of urban subway and conventional bus,and then describes the connotation and characteristics of the coordination between subway and conventional bus based on the coordination theory of transportation modes. In addition, taking the urban subway and the conventional bus within its direct attracting range as the research object, the collaborative study of urban subway and the conventional bus planning is carried out from the perspectives of station collaboration and line network collaboration. Then, the collaborative optimal station spacing model of urban subway and conventional bus is established with the objective of minimizing passenger travel time. Then it is based on the goal and principle of line network coordination,a method of traffic flow distribution is proposed, and on this basis, the conventional bus network within the direct attracting range of subway is adjusted. Finally, the paper takes the conventional bus in the direct attraction area of Qingdao metro line 3 as an example to verify the theory and method of coordination between conventional bus and urban subway planning proposed in this paper, and finally puts forward suggestions on the adjustment of conventional bus lines.
