Research On The Continuity Of Urban Memory In The Northeast Old Industrial Base

Along with the tide of economic globalization and rapid urbanization,the phenomenon of urban memory loss is widespread,and cultural homogeneity is becoming increasingly serious,which has attracted great attention from the country.Since the implementation of the strategy to revitalize the northeast old industrial base in 2003,many old industries have been torn down and built during the relocation and reconstruction process,resulting in the rapid disappearance of industrial objects containing rich historical and cultural information,which undermines the continuity of urban memory.With cultural confidence in the Nineteenth Congress report and protection of 156 projects industrial heritage proposed,the construction of industrial culture with Chinese characteristics and the protection and utilization of industrial heritage welcomed new opportunities.The northeast old industrial base is a historical witness with special features in the process of China’s industrialization.156 projects are also key projects of the Soviet union’s assistance in the period of China’s national economy.Therefore,how to properly handle the 156 projects of the northeast old industrial base in the development process of retreating the secondary industry into tertiary industry,so as to continue the urban memory and enhance the cultural confidence,is worth pondering.This paper takes urban memory as the entry point,through literature analysis,field investigation,semantic analysis and other methods,sorts out the current situation of urban memory of 156 projects in Harbin,summarizes the existing problems of urban memory,and then discusses the strategies of urban memory continuation based on the operation of urban memory system.This paper focuses on the current situation of urban memory of 156 projects in Harbin from the perspective of urban memory,and based on this,puts forward corresponding ideas and strategies for urban memory continuation.Firstly,the paper expounds the background,aim and value,summarizes the studies on urban memory theory and industrial legacy theory at home and abroad,and determines the research methods and research framework,which lays a foundation for the development of the following paper.Secondly,the paper sorts out the relevant research contents of urban memory and the northeast old industrial base,and constructs the relationship between them,summarizes the urban memory characteristics of the northeast old industrial base,and the function and inspiration of urban memory on the renewal of the northeast old industrial base.Thirdly,in the research part,the construction background of 156 projects in Harbin and the status quo of urban memory resources are sorted out,the current status of urban memory is analyzed from the aspects of top down and bottom up,and the existing problems and self-examination of the existing protection of 156 projects in Harbin are summarized.Finally,the paper proposes the goals and principles of the renewal and protection of 156 projects in Harbin based on problems,with the gaol of the continuity of urban memory,and discusses the continuity process of urban memory,and proposes the renewal and protection path of industrial memory from “top-down” and “bottom-up”,which includes memory storage,memory organization,and memory reproduction.
