Recently,with the rapid development of railway in China,the passenger and cargo transportation and running mileage have broken the historical record many times,which brings a new challenge to the reliability and safety of railway system.The turnout is the key component of railway track.Switch machine is used for transforming and locking the railway turnouts,which plays an important role in keeping the railway running smoothly and safely.Therefore,it is necessary to monitor the working state of switch machine in real time.The gap of switch machine is an important indication to reflect its working state.However,the real-time monitoring of switch machine gap is always a weakness in monitoring switch machine.Due to many types of switch machine,differences in installation location,and the high real-time requirements,the traditional monitoring methods based on the installation of sensors in the switch machine and the image-based monitoring methods are difficult to satisfy the practical application requirements.Thus,it is very essential to improve and upgrade the existing monitoring controller for the switch machine gap.In order to solve these problems,this thesis proposes an improved method based on image processing technology on the basis of studying the existing monitoring methods,and a gap image monitoring controller for switch machine is designed and implemented based on the improved method.The controller chooses Freescale's i.MX6 processor as main processor,FPGA as coprocessor,SPI bus as communication bus between main processor and coprocessor,and C++ as development language.It can meet the real-time requirement while satisfying the difference of types and installation positions of switch machine.Then the monitoring system for the switch machine gap and the hardware platform of monitoring system are introduced,and the principles for monitoring gap and current are explained respectively.After that,the overall design and module partition of the whole software are carried out according to the requirements,and the communication protocol of SPI and network for the software is designed.And then the specific implementation of the image acquisition module,information processing module,image playback module and sensor module are described.Finally,the simulation test environment in the laboratory is built,and each module is tested according to the functions.The controller can realize the real-time monitoring of the gap.Besides,the current and direction of the motor,the vibration acceleration and the temperature and humidity in the chassis can also be monitored inall-round.When one of the parameters is not within the normal operating range,the monitoring controller will send the corresponding alarm type to the monitoring host.At that same time,the monitor host can also send queries or set command to the controller,so that the human-computer interaction can be better realized.
