Mold is known as the "mother of industry".Most industrial products are made of moulds.In industrial production,products can be quantified by mould.Stamping die belongs to the cold stamping series of die classification,and its stamping products are mainly used in the stator and rotor of generator.This product has the characteristics of high added value,thus attracting a large number of investors to enter.In the face of powerful competitors,enterprises must formulate perfect competition strategies to adapt to the market and external environment.D is a small and medium-sized enterprise engaged in stamping die production and related stamping die products.After privatization,enterprises are separated from state-owned enterprises.D company was founded in 2003,relying on long-term accumulated technical experience in the stamping industry,and higher technical level after several industrial crises,the company’s efficiency gradually improved,through running-in period into a stable period.Faced with new challenges,D company needs to formulate corresponding competitive strategies to guide the company to move forward.In this paper,D company as the analysis object,using PEST analysis method and Porter five force model analysis method to analyze the external environment of D company.It puts forward the development opportunities of enterprises and the threats faced by enterprises.The development opportunities of enterprises include: the high-speed upward trend of economy,the inclination of government policies,the steady growth of stamping die industry,the continuous improvement of technology,and the rapid development of related industries.Threats include sharp fluctuations in the prices of materials for production,the shortage of labour resulting from ageing,and fierce competition in domestic and foreign markets.By analyzing the company’s internal environment,we can find out the advantages and disadvantages of the company.Advantages: the industry’s leading technical level,good customer relations,greater geographical advantage,complete production equipment,facing fewer competitors in the core business.Disadvantages are: less equipment,less capacity,small market scope,high integrated operating costs,lack of human resources.After a comparative analysis of the SWOT matrix,the company decided to take the centralized management strategy as the competitive strategy of D company.Through the formulation of enterprise competition strategy,this paper provides a series of safeguard measures: the allocation of resources and process improvement,corporate culture change,improve the human resources system,the construction of marketing network through these measures can ensure the effective implementation of the company’s competition strategy.How to choose their own competitive strategy,whether the competitive strategy will be effective in the future competition will be related to whether the enterprise based on the competitive strategy of company D,hoping to bring some inspiration for such enterprises as company D.
