Study On Wood Structure And Construction Techniques Of Traditional Architecture In Lanzhou

In China's current rapid urbanization process,the traditional architectural cultural characteristics are disappearing.Lanzhou traditional architecture,as one of the representatives of excellent traditional architecture culture in Gansu,is facing the problems that the architectural noumenon's destructive repairments and difficult inheritance of traditional building construction techniques.Therefore,it has become an important and urgent task of the times to investigate and survey the traditional buildings in Lanzhou,and to summarize and compile the local traditional building construction techniques salvageably.The Lanzhou area selected in this paper is located in the edge of two typical cultural circles of "Yellow River cultural circle" and "Hehuang cultural circle".At the same time,this paper selects the most important carpentry work technology in Lanzhou traditional architecture construction system as the research object.The research of building ontology adopts typical case study method,that is,surveying and mapping some traditional buildings,analyzing their shape and summarizing their construction technology.The method of interpretation is adopted in the study of carpentry work craftsmanship,which is to systematically study and summarize craftsmanship through text translation,craftsman interview,model building and entity construction.The main body of the article is the basic research.The main purpose of the article is to construct the woodwork system of traditional building Lanzhou area,so as to promote the protection and inheritance of the traditional building culture in Lanzhou,which is divided into three parts.The first part is the basic framework.First,the existing traditional buildings in Lanzhou are classified in form;then,the rules of scale trade-off are determined through the textual research on the universality of measuring tools and modules;finally,according to the collation of local construction methods,the general principles of the construction of controlling practices such as plane,lifting frame,beam frame,eaves and wing angle are listed.The second part elaborates the characteristics of traditional buildings by analysis the typical cases,including the classification and structural analysis of palace architecture,Pavilion architecture and other types of buildings.The third part is a statement of the specific practices,which is based on personal experience of participating in the construction of entities.Firstly,it elaborates the essentials of woodworking,common tools and their use methods;secondly,it analyses the process of making big wood step by step;finally,throughmaking model,it illustrates the methods of drawing lines and making tenon and mortise,and how to install big wooden components and carving components.At the end of the article,on the basis of the preliminary construction of traditional building woodwork system in Lanzhou area,the origin of traditional building culture in Lanzhou area is preliminarily explored,which is divided into two parts.The first part is based on the comparison of typical features of traditional buildings in Lanzhou and surrounding areas,so as to explore the possibility of interaction and evolution of practices between adjacent areas.In the second part,through literature research and interviews with craftsmen,the possibility of the origin of large carpenters is discussed,and the pedigree of large carpenters is recorded,so as to make a certain textual research for the origin of craftsmanship.
