With the 40 years after the reform and opening up,the rapid development of cities has brought many urban diseases,so the city is now in urgent need of reform and transformation.Due to the long-term development of urban rapid traffic,the neglect of the slow traffic operation environment and space,traffic congestion,environmental pollution and other issues continue to emerge,which makes us should reflect on the traditional urban transport planning and design research,transform the perspective of urban renewal,improve Urban connotation,improvement of living environment and development of green transportation.The construction of urban slow-moving system is one of the important means to guide people to travel green,enhance the city’s connotation and highlight local characteristics.With the introduction of the ITDP shared travel strategy in China,the development significance of Non-motorized Traffic is clearly pointed out.At the same time,in 2019,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the "Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao Dawan District Development Plan ".It emphasizes "strengthening the construction of public slow-moving systems such as urban greenways and forest wetland trails,and encouraging low-carbon travel." Therefore,studying the planning and planning strategies of urban slow action systems has important theoretical and practical significance for promoting sustainable urban development..As an important part of the urban public space,the slow-moving system has stimulated public participation and enhanced the vitality of the city.Guided by the theory of livable city,combined with the planning practice at home and abroad,this paper takes the street space of Guangzhou city center as the research object from the perspective of pedestrians.The purpose is to explore how to design urban environment under slow traffic conditions in both macro and micro aspects,and to explore the optimal design of urban street space environment.Using VGI technology,the spatial distribution characteristics of type,time diversity and population diversity of slow traffic activities in Guangzhou are described.Summarize some characteristics and common methods of slow traffic environment design,and explore ways and means to realize the transition of slow motion system from "traffic" to "life".
