Technological change is also inevitable along with the emergence of some new uncertain risk factors in promoting the construction industry from the extensive management development model to the refined management development model,the emergence and application of BIM technology is regarded as “the second revolutionary technology in the construction industry”,and its application has changed the management process and mode of the existing construction industry to some extent.At present,the application and promotion of BIM technology has been widely accepted by the construction industry,but the application of BIM technology has not been fully integrated into the management process of engineering projects,the shortage of qualified BIM technical talent resources in the market,and the external environment of BIM technology itself and its application are not yet mature,it will inevitably bring a certain degree of project management risk to the BIM project,which will greatly affect the performance of the project.The project risk brought by the application of BIM technology has been paid attention to by relevant scholars,and some scholars have analyzed and evaluated the application risk of BIM technology from certain stages and perspectives of the project,but there is no analytical study on the relationship between BIM technology application risk and project performance and the degree of impact.Therefore,explore the relationship between BIM technology application risk and project performance and its impact on project performance,it can not only enrich the theoretical results of the BIM technology application risk research field,but also provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the construction industry related companies to avoid relevant risks when applying BIM technology.The research of this paper is mainly to clarify the relationship between BIM technology application risk and project performance,and then explain the impact mechanism of BIM technology application risk on project performance.First,the literature research method and the in-depth interview method based on the project case fully identify and determine the main factors of BIM technology application risk.Secondly,based on the questionnaire method and mathematical statistics method,based on the full test of the reliability and validity of the questionnaire data,the correlation between BIM technology application risk and project performance is analyzed and verified.Finally,the structural equation model is used to clarify the interaction between the risk factors of BIM technology application,and to verify the hypothesis and conceptual model of the impact of BIM technology application risk on project performance,and from the perspective of empirical analysis,it analyzes the interaction between BIM technology application risk factors,and clarifies the effect relationship and specific path of BIM technology application risk impact on project performance.Analysis of the interaction path analysis between risk factors through BIM technology and its impact on project performance,this paper constructs a BIM technology application risk indicator system divided into 25 major risk factors in five dimensions,and analyzes the interaction effects between BIM technology risk factors: there are a total of 7 direct positive impact effect paths and 5 indirect positive impact effect paths among various risk factors,the application of environmental risk has the greatest direct positive impact on the technology's own risk,and the direct positive impact of the technology's own risk on the economic cost risk is the least,the comprehensive analysis shows that the application environment risk has the widest impact on other risk factors and may cause the greatest economic cost risk,the organization management risk is second,and the human resource risk is the smallest.Based on the above analysis,it is confirmed that there is a significant negative correlation between BIM technology application risk and project performance and it is a direct negative impact,among them,organizational management risk has the greatest indirect negative impact on project performance,and technology itself has the least indirect negative impact on project performance.Under the guidance of the above conclusions,the paper proposes countermeasures and suggestions for dealing with BIM technology application risk,in order to provide theoretical guidance for BIM technology application and risk management and control of domestic construction industry and its enterprises.
