Research On The Relationship Of Risk Management Maturity And Project Success For Urban Public Transport Project

With the increasing traffic demand of urban residents,a series of urban public transport projects have been developed rapidly.As the main transportation facilities for people to travel,the success of urban public transportation projects directly affects the benefits of the entire transportation industry.However,due to the large scale of investment in such projects and the large number of management units,the risk factors involved in the construction process are also more complicated than other projects,which seriously affects the process of urban development.Therefore,how to avoid all kinds of risks that may arise in urban public transport projects,improve project risk management level and promote project success has become the primary issue that needs to be concerned.In order to effectively improve the risk management level of urban public transport projects and promote the success of such projects,this paper decided to study the relationship between the risk management maturity of urban public transport projects and the success of projects.Firstly,based on the existing research results and the actual situation of the project,a conceptual model of the relationship between risk management maturity and project success is constructed.Secondly,the structure of risk management maturity model and project success model is analyzed respectively.When analyzing the structure of risk management maturity model,the measurement tool of project risk management maturity model is introduced.Combined with the risk management characteristics of urban public transport projects in China,a new multidimensional risk management maturity combination model is developed based on the OPM3 model construction idea.From the three dimensions of the model ’s risk management process standardization,risk management organization specialization and scientific risk response plan,the risk management maturity measurement scale is initially identified.When analyzing the structure of the project success model,the success of the internal and external levels of the project is considered as the dimension of project success.The content analysis method is used to identify the internal and external factors of project success,so as to initially identify the project success measurement scale.After determining the model structure of urban public transport project risk management maturity and project success,the relationship model between the two is constructed.Secondly,based on the theoretical analysis,the questionnaire is designed to develop the risk management maturity scale and the project success scale,and the scientific nature of the risk management maturity scale and the project success scale is verified.The results show that the risk management maturity scale and the project success scale can effectively measure their respective variables,and the risk management maturity of urban public transport projects is evaluated by analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive method.Finally,the correlation analysis method is used to conduct empirical analysis to explore the specific relationship between the risk management maturity of urban public transport projects and project success,so as to more clearly understand and judge the impact of risk management maturity of urban public transport projects on project success.Through the application of analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method,the risk management maturity level of urban public transport project is finally determined.According to the evaluation results,the current risk management level of the project can be accurately grasped and corresponding improvement measures can be taken.The correlation analysis method is used to obtain the detailed correlation between the risk management maturity evaluation index of urban public transport project and the internal and external influencing factors of the success of urban public transport project.According to the correlation degree from high to low,it can be clearly seen that the risk management maturity of urban public transport project has a specific impact on the success of the project.Considering the importance of Chinese government departments to urban public transport projects,the current situation of risk management maturity of urban public transport projects,the risk management maturity index of urban public transport projects and the correlation analysis results of internal and external factors affecting the success of urban public transport projects,and finally based on the perspective of the public sector,put forward specific countermeasures and suggestions to improve the success of urban public transport projects.It is also expected that the research in this paper can play a practical role in improving the risk management ability of urban public transport projects in China and promoting the successful construction of urban public transport projects.
