The staggered truss structure is currently mainly used in low-intensity areas,which greatly limits the application range of the structural system.It is the key to further promote this high-efficiency,practical and economical structural system and improve its seismic performance.In order to improve the seismic performance of the staggered truss structure,two-side connecting web plates are introduced.So staggered truss with two-side connecting web plates is be expected achieve the failure mode that he ductile section enters the plastic state under the rare earthquake,while the rest of the structure remains elastic.There is no test on the staggered truss with two-side connecting web plates.In order to verify the feasibility of the finite element simulation of the staggered truss with two-side connecting web plates,the finite element software is used to simulate the test of the staggered truss with two-side connecting web plates,the common truss and the ductile open-web truss structure.On this basis,the finite element analysis is carried out for energy dissipation section with two-side connecting web plates and the standard layer of staggered truss with two-side connecting web plates.The effects of different initial defects,height-thickness ratio and span-height ratio of steel plate on the specimens are explored.Thus,the range of parameters useful to engineering practice is obtained.In order to achieve the expected failure mode,the plastic design of the staggered truss with two-side connecting web plates is carried out.In the design,the energy dissipation section with two-side connecting web plates is simplified to the simplified analysis model of the eccentric support.Then,the non-energy section is designed to ensure that the truss and the column remain elastic under under the rare earthquake by calculating the reaction force of the energy dissipation section,In order to facilitate the comparison of structural forms in this paper,it is necessary to design specimens under the same design conditions.A specimen STF of hybrid staggered truss is designed according to the performance-based method,and then a specimen WSTF of staggered truss with two-side connecting web plates is designed according to plastic design of staggered truss with two-side connecting web plates.The validity of the two specimens is verified.Response spectra of two specimens is analyzed by SAP2000,and the parameters such as interstory displacement angle and interstory deformation were compared and analyzed.The pushover analysis of two specimens is analyzed by SAP2000.The plastic hinge sequence and failure mode of two specimens under rare earthquake are compared.Finally,ABAQUS is used to analyze the non-linearity of the plane coordination model and the continuous support model of WSTF specimens.The buckling modes of WSTF specimens and the stress distribution of the steel plates connected on both sides are studied.
