Passenger train is characterized by high speed,safety,comfort and convenience.Anti-lock brake system(ABS)is a set of safety equipment based on traditional braking system,with the purposes of acquiring the most effective braking force and shortening the braking distance,featuring intelligent control system,controlling the braking in vehicles by controlling the moving wheels in the braking processes,automatic adjustment of braking force,prevention of wheel lock,full use of rail adhesion.This abstract focuses on the principles of the Anti-lock brake system(ABS)and the application in passenger train.Firstly,starting with the case study of anti-lock brake system in automobiles,the author elaborates on the process of wheel lock through the study of ABS,the current domestic and international situation on anti-lock,the structure,working principles and control methods of anti-lock brake system,the basic concepts such as adhesion coefficient,slip ratio and adhesion,the force analysis of wheels.Secondly,the author introduces the correlations between gel mechanism and sliding characteristics of wheel and rail from the aspects of the braking principles of passenger train,braking mode and control methods.With the references of the characteristics of anti-lock control and the domestic operational testing experience,the author conducts deep analysis based on gel mechanism and creep theory.The author compares the parameters of anti-lock control system and analyzed the pros and cons.Finally,we performed effect check on new passenger trains equipped with ABS to test the effectiveness of ABS on passenger trains.
