Design And Implementation Of Airline Decision Support System Based On Data Mining

With rapid development of economy and continuous enhancement of science and technology,information technology and network technology have been widely applied globally,which have been integrated into each aspect of our life.Management operation in modern enterprises depends on support from information and network technology as the market competition becomes more fierce,uncertainties increase day by day,the enterprises should implement informatization for the sake of obtaining more qualified decision-making data and enhancing its own competitiveness.The decisive factor for the enterprises is whether it can judge the market quotations or not,then make the specific and rapid decision.As far as traditional decision-making is concerned,it relies on the management's personalized experience;therefore there is no purposiveness in the decision-making process generally.Because the management science and computer technology have been making progress up to date,the decision support system is created,which can enhance the function and quality of decision-making for the higher managements in the enterprises.Due to continuous development of data warehouse and relevant technologies,newer thoughts are brought to the decision maker in the enterprises,which also pushes the continuous enhancement and progress of the system forward.The decision support system and data warehouse are combined to unify the model decision and data decision,advantages of which are fully played,and efficiency of decision-making is enhanced.This paper takes "Management Information System Program of Shanghai Airlines for example,researches deeply the decision support system and data warehouse,elaborates related principles,one decision support system prototype is established based on data warehouse.The major content and innovation in this research are as follows:1.The use and development direction of decision support system should be explicit based on status quo development of data warehouse,information system and DSS system.The definition,type,components and characters of DSS system should be elaborated,the structure of the systematic contour is completed.2.The data warehouse and relevant technologies are analyzed concretely,including its composition,data preparation,data mining,online analytical processing,and so on;the supporting decision-making approaches of data warehouse are also discussed.Based on this point,the airline decision support system upon data mining technology is designed,mainly including the development direction and approaches;subsystem of the model,subsystem of the data as well as subsystem of interpersonal interaction,the role of data warehouse on DSS system is rather prominent.3.The marketing-oriented decision support system of airline is realized,the simple explanation of definition on marketing is made.This paper also research deeply independently-developed HCF-MDSS,the combined application of data warehouse and DSS system as well as related models and function realization are elaborated.
