The reinforced soil retaining wall is widely used in engineering because of its light weight,low requirements on foundation bearing capacity,assembly construction,convenient transportation,ecological environment protection and economic security.The reinforced material commonly used in the reinforced soil retaining wall is a geogrid.Compared with the geogrid,the geocell is a three-dimensional material,and the composite structure formed with the soil has higher rigidity,a larger reinforced influence range,better lateral restraint and the string bag effect,not only have tensile strength,shear strength,but also good bending strength.If the geocell is used as a reinforced material in the retaining wall,it should be more improve the overall stability of the retaining wall.However,there are few studies on geocell reinforced soil retaining walls,and the structure of the geocell reinforced soil retaining wall is also relatively simple.Therefore,this paper proposes a new type of geocell reinforced soil retaining wall structure based on the newly-built Qingdao Dongjiakou Port Shugang Railway Project,and monitors and studies the construction process of the retaining wall.The main contents are as follows:(1)This paper uses the geocell at the construction site to conduct direct shear tests on the reinforced soil interface.The shear strength indexes of the soil interface between the geocell,the geogrid and the soil are compared,at the same time,the interface effects of geocell and geogrid are compared.(2)This paper introduces the new structure and construction technology of the geocell reinforced soil retaining wall.(3)This paper monitors the construction process of the geocell reinforced soil retaining wall of the newly-built Qingdao Dongjiakou Port Shugang Railway Project,and the distribution law of the soil pressure inside and outside the bottom of the strip foundation,the vertical earth pressure on the upper and lower sides of the geocell and the horizontal earth pressure on the back of the wall with the construction height of the fill are studied.(4)Using Plaxis software to establish the geocell reinforced soil retaining wall model.The selection of model parameters and the definition of construction process based on site conditions of Shugang Railway.At the same time,the distribution law of the inner and outer soil pressure at the bottom of the strip foundation,the vertical soil pressure on the upper and lower sides of the geocell and the horizontal soil pressure on the back of the wall are studied,and the simulation value is compared with the test value.Finally,the optimization of the reinforcement parameters of the geocell reinforced soil retaining wall was carried out by using Plaxis software.Through field test and numerical simulation of the geocell reinforced soil retaining wall,the distribution law of soil pressure in the construction process is summarized,which provides reference basis for the application of the geocell reinforced soil retaining wall in the future.
