The fire frequent occurrence has caused serious harm to people's lives and property safety,the main causes of the fire occurrence because people are lack of fire knowledge and do not know how to deal with it when fire happen.The most common way currently deal with fire-fighting problem is to conduct practical drill,but due to this way both the waste of manpower,material,money and can't ensure that people will not be hurt during the drill,therefore virtual reality technique is applied to fire-fighting drill in this paper,develop a fire-fighting drill system.Users can conduct fire-fighting drill in the system by immersive interactive devices,the system has the characteristics of strong immersion,functionally rich,and the system can be re-used at any time,can solving the waste of resources caused by actual fire-fighting drill.Firstly,collision detection technology is studied and optimized in this paper.By research on hierarchical bounding box collision detection algorithm and the system development platform collision detection method,the optimization method of collision detection of object model in the virtual scene is proposed,this method comprehensively considers both the object model compactness and system resource,it can improve the accuracy of collision detection meanwhile not occupy too much system resources.Secondly,the diffusion of flame and smoke algorithms based on the particle system are designed in this paper.Select particle system technology to make smoke,flame and simulate the diffusion of smoke and flame,according to the characteristics of smoke and flame,determine key attributes of smoke and flame particle systems,by designing key attribute calculation methods,diffusion conditions,end conditions achieve the diffusion of smoke and flame.Algorithm is applied to the system,and tested to show the smoke and flame spread effects can meet user needs.Thirdly,the immersive fire-fighting drill system based on VR(Virtual Reality)is designed and implemented in this paper.This system is developed using virtual reality,sensor tracking detection and network transmission technologies,follow the actual fire-fighting drill to design each drill function of system,users can use the immersive interactive device to interact with the object model in the virtual scene to accomplish each drill such as simulation fire extinguishing,escape,multi-person cooperate with rescue,and finding fire hazards,by using different technologies and designing corresponding algorithms to achieve each function.Finally,the system has been conducted testing in this paper.In addition to designing test cases to testing on various functional modules implemented in t he system,also conducted testing the compatibility and performance of the system,the experimental results show each function meets the user needs and the system can operate stably.
