Checking Fixture Design For Car Body Covering Parts Based On UG

Automotive covering parts(hereinafter referred to as covering parts),refers to make car body,car glass,car inner decoration and irregular form cover chassis and engine,etc.In manufacturing,accurate and simple detection technology is the powerful tools for the covering parts to ensure product quality.At present,because of the convenient,rapid,accurate,the inspection jig(fixture)can meet the advantages of mass production,most car companies adopt fixture to test the covering parts and to control its quality.With the rapid development of automobile industry,fixture is increasingly widely used in automotive field.So improve the design quality and efficiency of fixture is crucial in the process of automobile production.Automotive covering parts fixture simulation block is mainly composed of parts and auxiliary equipment and measuring devices,etc.Here,in addition to submit the simulation block needs according to the shape of the parts under test,and test the simulation design,all auxiliary devices are used as the standard or do a few changes.Different kinds of automotive covering parts,the fixture design is hard and complicated,develop a set of special fixture design system,covering parts is to realize the rapid design of covering parts fixture and to avoid duplication of effort and the important way of human error.In this paper,on the basis of in depth research,the platform of UG software developed automotive covering parts fixture design system and can realize the following functions:(1)classifying automotive covering parts fixture,the automobile body covering parts of fixture design principle and method to carry on the elaboration,the fixture positioning device,clamping device and the scheme determination of design scheme and measurement,etc.(2)the use of function of CAM module of UG software to realize the nc machining programming and simulation tool path.
