| Performance Excellence Model,an effective tool and method for comprehensive performance management,has won widespread international recognition.Derived from the evaluation criteria of Baldrige National Quality Awards(BNQA),this model emphasizes customer orientation and continuous improvement of management.By implementing Performance Excellence Model,enterprises can not only make systematical analyses to improve management and performance,but also apply and review quality awards.Hence,the Performance Excellence Model has played an effective role in promoting the application of Total Quality Management(TQM)in enterprise operationsThrough analysis on literatures covering the areas of Performance Excellence Model and quality awards,and concept review of the national standards for Performance Excellence,based on the ’Performance Excellence Evaluation Criteria’(GB/T19580-2012),this article elaborates basic ideas and connotation of Performance Excellence Model from the perspective of construction industry.Also,this article introduces in detail the main points in importing Performance Excellence Model and making continuous improvements on the basis of dissecting the intention and goal of company Z’s implementing Performance Excellence Model.The importing of Performance Excellence Model starts with‘having it or not’,and brings in the standards of "strategy"and "customer and market" by improving enterprise strategic management and establishing customer-oriented marketing.The conducting of continuous improvements bases on’effective or not’,and reflects the important role that "critical process" has played in improving enterprise performance from the aspects of further optimizing the core process of project management,the management of related parties,and the building of enterprise culture,and shows good effects Performance Excellence Model has brought on improvement of management maturity and performance through implementation effect evaluation. |
